About this service
Prometheus Complex Care provides highly skilled mental health nursing teams delivering specialist support for individuals with complex and high-risk needs. Our staff are experts in observation, de-escalation, and dynamic management intervention (DMI), ensuring safe, therapeutic environments in a wide range of clinical and community settings.
We are committed to delivering care that prioritises dignity, recovery, and the least restrictive approach. Our teams are BILD-accredited in restraint techniques and aligned with the Restraint Reduction Network, ensuring best practice at all times. Working collaboratively with Trusts, local authorities, and community teams, we deliver a fully integrated wrap-around service that promotes stability, wellbeing, and long-term recovery.
We deliver clinically led, least-restrictive care — combining observation, risk management, and therapeutic intervention to support recovery, safety, and continuity of care.
Who this service is for
How this service works
Every placement begins with a comprehensive clinical and environmental risk assessment to ensure safety and suitability. Our registered mental health nurses (RMNs) develop bespoke care plans in collaboration with the individual and wider care network, ensuring continuity and consistency.
We provide flexible support across multiple settings, including hospitals, A&E departments, mental health units, police stations, and residential placements. Observation levels are carefully defined and continuously reviewed, ensuring individuals receive the right level of care at the right time.
